Rhyne Wines is a family-owned winery founded by French winemaker Bénédicte Rhyne and her husband, Richy.
Together, they craft organic, memorable wines using traditional French techniques and Texas-grown grapes, sharing their passion for winemaking with every bottle.
OUR STORY
RHYNE WINES is a family business.
It began as most stories do - with great love and passion. Bénédicte, Co-Founder of Rhyne Wines met her husband Richy, Co-Founder in 1993 in Sonoma County, California . Béné was working as part of the winemaking team at Ravenswood Winery, and Richy was the warehouse manager at Draper and Esquin, a renowned wine importer in San Francisco. They quickly fell in love with the help of an alignment of values & an appreciation of good wine.
After welcoming their first two children, the Rhynes decided to make the move from California to Texas, in search of more opportunities. When they stumbled upon Central Texas - Béné couldn't help but think how similar the Hill Country was to her French roots. The couple settled in Fredericksburg, Texas in 2002. Béné always knew the potential that Texas had in making its mark in the Wine World.
Fast-forward to 2023, the couple's oldest son has chosen to follow in Béné's footsteps and is set to complete his Winemaking degree in 2024, their daughter is passionate about Marketing & Advertising, and their third child is still in high school & is along for the ride!
It is not often that the stars align to have a family-run wine business, but we are so thankful & eager to continue Béné & Richy's legacy together as a family.

Since I began making wine, I knew I wanted to share my passion of winemaking with others. Winemaking is a beautiful blend of science and art.
Wine is all about the experience. Wine is about WH0 you experience it with.
