The evening's menu

First course:  Rhyne 2025 Grenache Rosé with brie and blueberry canapés 

About the wine:  Another Grenache Rosé with grapes from Desert Willow Vineyard in Seminole, Texas - only with 2025 fruit! This Rosé is a dry, Provence-style Rosé with only 160 cases produced. Enjoy!

Second course:  Rhyne 2024 Legacy Viognier with lobster salad 

About the wine:  Crafted by Loïc Rhyne from a rocky stretch of the Walla Walla Valley, Legacy White is a Viognier–Roussanne blend, barrel fermented and aged to bring depth and harmony. This wine reflects patience, balance, and the land that inspires it. I’m honored to share it with you.

Third course:  Rhyne 2025 Syrah with herb-roasted turkey breast and chargrilled vegetables   

About the wine:  This 2025 Syrah, 100% produced from Newsom Vineyards, was fermented as a rich, vibrant, fruity and lighter style wine with the intention of short aging in barrel, and bottled in June.

Fourth Course:  Rhyne 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon and Rhyne 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon (barrel sample) with beef tenderloin and whipped potatoes 

About the wine: Rhyne 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon barrel sample - When I was approached by owner Jeanette Keating from Quail Vineyard in Sonoma, California, I knew this wine would be part of our story… very low yield, beautifully run vineyard, this Cabernet Sauvignon is elegant, dark in color and concentrated with tannins and flavors making a primary choice to age it longer. Still in barrels we will plan to bottle this wine May 2027.  

About the wine: Rhyne 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon - This selection is 100% from Newsom Vineyard’s 45-year old vines, and these grapes are very special to me. Harvested on October 1, 2023, on a night with a full moon, we did a long macération and aged this very special wine in French oak for 20 months. The result is a delicate wine with powerful structure that lingers elegantly.

Fifth course:  Rhyne 2022 L'Eclipse Merlot with chevre cheesecake

About the wine:  This is a limited, 25-case (300 bottles) production of my 2022 Merlot from the Texas High Plains.  Blend of 86% Merlot from Family Vineyards, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon from Newsom Vineyards.
